Babel TTDI is located on the rooftop of Menara Ken TTDI- occupying over 25,000 square feet, overlooking the breathtaking view of the city. Anyone can sign up for their free trial, as I did, calling up their friendly receptionist to book an appointment for an experience like no other. Here are some highlights of Babel:

1. More than just a gym

At the entrance, you will be greeted with a lounge cafe serving connoisseur coffee and healthy snacks and statues placed strategically around the gym to enhance a 'zen' ambiance. The nature surrounding the area is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, immediately bringing a sense of peace to the mind and soul. Upon signing up, customers will be greeted with the smiles of the lovely receptionist, and will then be introduced to the amazing facilities of the gym.

2. Bored of your regular gym routine?

What’s unique about Babel is the advanced technology they use to instruct users to use their machines. Not everybody is there on a daily basis, some of us are just there once in a blue-moon when we had too much to eat the previous day, thus knowing to use a workout machine is almost impossible. Sometimes on a machine, you don’t know how fast you need to go or what rate you’re supposed to be going at- Babel’s machines offer a mini-personal trainer that guides you on the screen. For example, the treadmill offers an option to run with your friends beside you, which in hopes brings out your competitive side and encourages you to push yourself further.

3. Taking fitness to a different level

Part of Babel’s appeal lies in its wide range of unique classes, including Pool Yoga (Babel is the only gym that offers this one of a kind floating exercise), physical training, mixed martial class, cardio workouts, and a confidence-boosting dance class. In addition to that, instructors for the various classes are experts in their fields. A well-known dance coach in the scene, Maybelline, is a choreographer for Malaysian artists, and is also a main figure in Babel.

4. Captivating rooms to cater your workout

Another unique aspect of Babel is their different rooms for different types of workouts. Each room has a theme - Gym 1 has an art gallery vibe while another room has a neon skull light installment - and the gym is decorated with paintings along with sculptures. Each room serves a different purpose which can cater to any workout you have planned for the day. Moreover, the gyms aren't plastered with pictures of toned abs and big muscles; Babel aims to portray a healthy and an empowering environment.

5. The Exclusive Changing Rooms

The highlight at the end of any workout is the sprawling 4,600 square feet changing rooms that boast ample locker space, shower rooms, and dressing stations. Amenities include plush premium hotel towels (each have a security tag so you can’t ‘accidentally’ bring them home) and skincare from Malaysian beauty brand Good Virtues co. After a long day of pushing your body to the limit, you will be able to enjoy a private sauna in the back of the toilet and finishing off with a hot shower that will immediately make you feel refreshed and ready to go.
